Nollie Backside Pop Shove-It

A nollie backside shove-it is when the tail of the board spins behind you while doing a nollie.

Start off by placing your feet in nollie position. Your back foot should be somewhat in the center yet with the slightest amount of toe hanging off the edge of the board, and your front foot should have the ball of your foot close to the edge that your heel is pointing.

Pop down with your front foot while pushing it forward and your back foot backwards to create the spin. The board will tend to go farther behind you then usual, so while in the air, you might have to move your body back to catch it.

Also… another mistake that most skaters make with this trick is that they don’t get their front foot back enough to land on the board. Be sure after you pop down with your front foot, that you try your hardest to get that front foot back behind you to catch that board!

Watch it come around as your start to place your feet in a position to land it. Wait until it has done a full 180° turn, then gently place your feet back on the board, and ride away smooth!

This trick will take a lot of practice in order for you to do it while moving at a faster pace. Keep practicing. Like all skateboarding tricks, it takes time.
