what kind of skateboard deck is right?
im 6″1 180lb
and im not sure what width to get?
7.75, 7.8, or 8.0?
are those inches?
It Really depends on the size of your shoes, are you rocking some light thin Chucks or some bulky “skater shoes” that add an extra inch of foot space?
Are you into street skating, or into doing stuff on ramps? The wider means more control, but thin means the board will spin easier with less effort. However, this really doesn’t matter unless you become Really used to the size board and its weight.
I got used to doing street with a really wide and heavy Toy Machines board, then when I broke it and had to buy a new one I went with something thinner and I started over rotating kick flips and stuff like crazy, but it was a good thing.
